In Punta del Este, a famous holiday destination in South-East of Uruguay, the new Latin American Museum, conceived and built by the South-American sculptor Pablo Atchugarry, will get an entire metal envelope by BEMO.

The Museum, a real masterpiece located in a beautiful, green and extremely quiet environment, will be completely host and financed by the Fundación Pablo Atchugarry, an institution funded in 2007 by Pablo Atchugarry. As wished by the internationally acclaimed sculptor Pablo Atchugarry, born in Uruguay and used to live between South America and Italy, an ambitious project will soon see the light in the marvellous location of Punta del Este (South-East of Uruguay) – The Latin American Museum.

Ready to host the masterpieces of Pablo Atchugarry and other South-American artists, the Museum was designed by the well-known Architect Carlos Ott (renowned e. g. for the Opera de la Bastille in Paris).

The Main Hall will get a 3.000 sqm roof with free-formed BEMO-MONRO Aluminium standing seam profiles and an internal perforated Aluminium trapezoidal liner deck. For the 1.000 sqm big façade of the Main Hall, large scale BEMO-BOND Aluminium composite panels and also an internal perforated Aluminium trapezoidal liner is selected. The iconic design of the Entrance Hall will be cladded by 400 m2 extreme shaped BEMO-MONRO profiles.

For a long-term durable colour of the roofs and the façade, the unique BEMO-FLON coating system is selected to warrant the technical and aesthetical requirements of the project. Next to the supply of the metal envelope package, BEMO is commissioned for the entire Engineering of the roof and façade package incl. on-site Supervision.

BEMO is proud to be the partner of the Fundación Atchugarry in the creation of such a prestigious and special building.
