A new, international project for BEMO starts: The functional facade layer for the Kai Tak Sports Park Stadium in Hong Kong. Our mobile machine setup and operator team arrived in Hong Kong, and we immediately started the on-site production of the MONRO free-form panels for the functional façade layer of the main stadium at the Kai Tak Sports Park.
Free-form standing seam panels are used, to follow the oval form of the unique facade construction. The challenge: to produce around 26.000 sqm free-formed BEMO standing seam panels in a short time. No problem thanks to the excellent cooperation with our international partner network!

The more than 8.000 individually shaped panels have length up to 20.000 mm and will be curved down to radii up to 6.000 mm. A project that needs the experience and expertise that our BEMO experts bring with them. Together with our local partner JOL – Jacaranda Orient Ltd. and the contractor G&M Engineering Ltd., BEMO developed an economical and functional standing seam alignment, which creates the final shape and geometry of the façade and fits exactly to the outer visible Rainscreen.
The Kai Tak Sports Park will provide high-quality facilities with a wide variety of sports venues, open spaces, park facilities, retail and dining outlets – so a sporty all-round experience that BEMO can help to shape.
Furthermore, the main stadium with a capacity of 50.000 seats, with the theme “Pearl of the Orient” as its design inspiration, can host a wide range of international, regional and local events.
