New life is moving into the area of the former weaving mill A. Wurster & Cie. on the federal road B10 in Eislingen. The colour-weaving mill in the Filstal should not only be the new « place to be » in a business context, but also offer private citizens a place to linger as well as for weddings, birthdays, and other occasions. Between the company building, the hotel and the boiler house, a new fitness studio combines training and spa in a unique location. BEMO supplied the modern façade made of 0.75 mm Steel in anthracite grey for the building. This façade design creates a contrast to the red brick façades while the former industrial character of the site is conveyed.
Special Edge Profiles Ensure a Unique Façade Look
BEMO supplied around 1,400 m² metal façade for the unique fitness studio. Special edge profiles fit perfectly as cladding for ventilated curtain-wall systems. In addition to cost-effectiveness and durability, the aesthetic also plays a major role – because BEMO edge profiles in particular can be manufactured individually and tailor-made according to customer requirements and thus support the symbiosis of modern façades and old walls.
Three edge profile types were used for the fitness studio, which in combination result in an exciting look in the modern façade. The 0.75 mm thick Steel profiles were delivered in anthracite grey and fit into the overall concept that combines modernity and history into an attractive building complex. In addition to the optical design elements, a small creek between the buildings is reminiscent of the former mill stream and the industrial use of the colour-weaving mill.
Modern Façade: Perforated Elements as Design and Shading Element
Parts of the edge profile façade were arranged and supplied in a perforated design. They not only act as sun shading elements, but also ensure privacy in the interior without having to forego sufficient daylight. In addition, they loosen up the metal façade and set special accents.
