Combining a daycare centre and a day care facility for seniors under one roof is an innovative initiative that not only meets the needs of both age groups, but also aims to create synergy effects. This pioneering project goes beyond simply bringing children and seniors together in the same space and has the ambitious goal of minimising reservations, strengthening sensitivity towards one another, breaking down prejudices against the other generation, promoting new interests among children and seniors, and building social skills.
The sustainable orientation of this construction project is particularly noteworthy. In addition to the social aspects, strict sustainability criteria were also integrated into the planning and construction process. An outstanding feature of the building is its unique standing seam roof made from 100% recycled aluminium. This roof is not only a masterpiece of sustainable construction, but also a symbol of the future viability of this project. This report provides an insight into a pioneering construction project that not only creates spaces, but also builds bridges between generations and towards a sustainable approach to our environment.
