Frankfurt Airport PTS Station F

A new station for a new passenger transfer system was built at Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport. The so-called PTS Station F (Passenger Transport System) is located in the central forecourt area of the terminal. As a central infrastructure project, the station not only serves as a stop, but also as an integral part of the entire passenger transport system at the airport. For the individual roof design, non-penetrating aluminum standing seam panels form the water-bearing layer as a sliding seam profile system. A fifth façade with a sophisticated design was realized above this. It consists of composite panels mounted on a specially developed substructure. This unique special solution required individual approval and sets new standards both technically and architecturally.
